Support Update 1

Hey everybody!

Just wanted to give you a little update about our support raising and other news that's going on with us. We've already had several response cards turned in, and you guys have been a huge blessing already!! We're off to a great start towards our support need of $12,000. We've also received some responses from those who are committing to pray regularly for us, and we thank you so much for making that commitment. Here are some things you can pray about for us right now:

- For support raising, that God would continue to provide the resources we need for this journey He has called us on

- For language learning, that Elyse and I would find the time now to work on learning and brushing up on our German. As of right now, we don't know what resources will be available for us in Germany (like language schools or tutors), so anything we can learn before we go will be a huge help.

- For the Panepinto family who we will be working with.

- For our semester at school as we balance finishing up the things we need to do now with the things we need to do to prepare for the future.

Thanks again for all of your prayers and support! We could not do this without each and every one of you! Remember to sign up for our email updates too if you'd like. This blog will probably be the primary way we communicate before we leave, but we'll still be sending out a few emails too as we get closer to July. Hope to hear from you soon!

Here We Go!

As we are starting the support raising process, we're getting more and more excited about leaving for our internship! Yesterday we had the privilege of being able to represent KontaktMission on the LCU campus for the International Focus event! Allie Marmion drove all the way up from Atlanta Georgia to come do a workshop and help out with the both too! It was so great to meet her and be able to talk about Europe! We love any chance we can get to be involved with KontaktMission and meet more of their staff!

Anyways, for all of you who are coming here because you received a support letter from Ryan and I, we want to thank you so much for your interest in what we're involved in and what God is doing with us! We hope that you all prayerfully consider joining with us in our ministry and helping us get to Germany!

Here are just a few statistics that have opened up our eyes to the GREAT need in Germany for churches:

Kenya- 26.5% Evangelical Christian
Puerto Rico- 22.5% Evangelical Christian
Uganda- 24.9% Evangelical Christian
Guatemala- 43% Evangelical Christian
El Salvador- 30% Evangelical Christian
GERMANY- 1.8%Evangelical Christian

Anyways, I hope that is something that you can keep in mind when you think of Ryan and I serving in Germany. There is a need and we are wanting and willing to respond to that need, and where God has called us to go.

We thank you so much for your love, prayers and support!
-Elyse
